Gaming at 1080p, In my country 7700xt costs way more than 4060ti 8 gig still so i don't regret on upgrading from a 1060 6 gig cos of mainly these reasons..1) Much less cost than 7700xt 2) Much lower Tdp 3)Older gen gpu's not in stock, 4) Its very hot weather where i live,. My older card started causing issues cos it got too old so had a tight budget.

I hear your argument about the XTX vs the 4080 Super, the problem is that @4k there are already games that when you crank the settings to Max(WITHOUT RAYTRACING) you are already using around 14.5GB+ of VRAM. That is NOT a lot of VRAM spare for the use of RayTracing. So while I personally want the Raytracing Capabilities the Nvidia GPUs bring to the table, the AMD GPU will last me longer simply because they have more VRAM and all I have to do is sacrifice using Raytracing. To me at least, that isn't that big of a sacrifice, even if I really do like the way RayTracing looks.

I bought a 4080super back in February and wow I barely have time to touch my PCs these days. Its just sitting there. Most days I just use my PC to browse the net. If I have time I will fire up Microsoft Flight Simulator or X-PLANE 12 for about an hour or two.

I understand the argument from the performance side of things, but power draw and thermals should also be considered when recommending graphics cards. A 6750XT may give more performance than a 7600XT, but it's also going to be drawing more power for it, and therefore, going to run hotter. Depending on someone's situation, getting a card that draws less power and runs cooler may be a better option. You can say "get more power and better cooling", but then that starts to increase the price of the 6750XT all the more. (that's also beside the fact that 6750XTs are getting harder to come by these days and prices are reflecting that)

Maybe with frame generation, you can get to 2x, cause FG is not supported on 30xx. Otherwise I agree, it's bullshit marketing. I will upgrade from my 3080 when 7080 comes out ;)

What are the power requirements and pin configurations to consider though. I've got a 3060ti right now. It's 8pin. I don't want to swap out the pwr supply etc.

Bought a 3070 LHR that was 8 months old from Ebay 2 years ago for 350$ USD. Two years later, at the same price + 20$ you can get... 3070 perf + 5-10%. Ahhh, the GPU market is still a complete joke.

I'm yet to see a UA-camr realize that Nvidia cards only make sense in RTX titles (sponsored by themselves) like Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, Witcher, and so on. Everything else, not sponsored by them, runs Ray Tracing perfectly in Radeon cards!

The 4070 isn't a bad GPU in isolation. It's fast enough to play almost everything at 1440p. The problem is that it has been replaced by the 4070 Super, which if we are honest NVIDIA should have been the 4070 all along. So unless you are really short on cash there is no reason at all to not opt for the 4070 Super. Also when the 4070 was launched people were very sceptical about the 12 GB of memory but it seems that for the next few years for 1440p they will do just fine.

13:16 You know Daniel, I wish you made a dedicated video on the software aspect of both GPUs. You can have a good price/perf GPU but people will still turn to Nvidia. Noise suppression sucks compared to Nvidias broadcast. RTX Video Super Resolution is far superior to AMDs video upscale so much so just turning it on can make the picture look worse. AMD doesn't have an answer for RTX HDR which is better than Windows auto HDR and it works for both video and games. Ray Reconstruction still doesn't have a competitor and FSR 2.1 came out sometime in 2022 and we're halfway to 2025. Someone has to talk about this because AMD just releases a half baked feature and calls it a day, I really want them to improve on and develop their software..

Most people are buying prebuilt PCs and a lot of those PCs come with the RTX 4060 and 4060ti. That is just a hard fact in the low to mid range. Where the bulk of the sales actually are. Just saying.

If you included the 6750xt, you’ll notice it’s pretty much on par with a 4060ti which makes the 4060ti look real bad if it costs almost $100 more than amd

Got an RX 6750 XT recently, it's the XFX Speedster Qick 319 and it's basically dead silent despite being overclocked.

Guys... maybe just think for a second before you drop $600 on a GPU. I have friends that make 1/2 of my salary buying 4090's. One of them is uses the financing options to pay it.

I game at 1440p High or Ultra settings. And my RTX 4080 16GB I paid a thousand USD for over a year ago now will be fine for many more years to come. That's all I care about.

I just went full send on a ASROCK Taichi 7900xtx 😬 (I9 13900K, ASUS ROG Strix Z690, 64GB DDR5, and a Corsair 1000W platinum) Upgrading from my EVGA 1070. I figured it'll be 4-6 years before I upgrade again, might as well go with something nice. (7 years since my last gpu) Now I'm trying to upgrade my 144hz 1080p Benq monitor to a 1440p monitor. 😅 Suggestions for monitors and microphones that are quality, but doesnt hurt the bank are welcome, but I might need to wait a month or two after the gut punch my wallet just took. 🙏

Spent about $500-$600 on a 4070 super oc and I’ve been enjoying it so much.

7600XT at $300 is better than 4060 in every way.

If you’re looking to spend 500-550 wait for the 8800xtx. Amd can’t charge more than that due to the msrp of the 7800xt and you’ll get a card that performs between a 7900 xtx and 7900 xt. Disagree with Daniel here about the 4070 super because the 8800 xtx will be faster and cheaper and have more vram.

How much value do you think the 4080 super will lose? Thing is I am gaming with a 1080 and based on the various leaks and rumors it seems the 5080 will be gimped heavily due to China restrictions, so on top of that who knows what will happen with tariffs and sanctions, plus short supply, scalpers, and then the real value will probably be 5080ti which won't come until late 2025, makes me wonder if we might be heading for another dark age of GPU pricing and availability so I am wondering if I should just buy now and have something to ride out the storm. But otoh if I buy and it drops like 500 bucks in price and the 5080 is an amazing value then I might regret it.

Just got a new 4080 (non-super) for about $830 (without tax) in Germany which is a good price imo. You skipped right over that card in the video but that might have to do with it technically being EOL'd.

I won't buy new cards ever again! second hand for ever! these prices are just nuts! buy a second hand and test it with benchmarks and 99% of the time you will be good, unless you're super unlucky and u missed a problem you couldn't find when buying, which is rare if the benchmarks and fans are ok!

Lies of P is a pretty sweet game to get bundled in. Was apprehensive that it was a cheap Bloodborne clone but finally tried it on Game Pass and while it's not at the level of Bloodborne, the combat and atmosphere are still great and it's one of my top games of 2023.

Starfield was a free game with GPUs last year I got it with my RX6600 8GB last October and it's shite.

Scamazon is most certainly not the place to buy. I understand placement though and also for comparison. As a non RT(pointless for general gaming) user I have settled in with a 7800xt and 7900GRE. Both are excellent gpus and both are more than I need for the uses in each of their perspective rigs. If the 4070 Ti super ever drops to a reasonable price (before 2030) I would grab it up in a heart beat but not 1 single pence above £550.

lmao unless you're just gonna be running synthetic benchmarks, don't buy a 12gb card for 1440p like he suggest. 11gb vram usage with rt+upscaler+fg on a game from 2020 and thats not including mods if you're into that. Just go for a 4070 ti s if you want the nvidia features.
